Master Yan Jue, president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, said in his speech that Buddhist education is related to the healthy inheritance and future of Buddhism, and is one of the key tasks of the Chinese Buddhist Association. Buddhist education is never completed, only in progress. He put forward four opinions on the training of Buddhist talents in the new stage: First, thoroughly implement the new requirements of ideological and political education, and cultivate qualified Buddhist talents who support the party, patriotism, and integrity; second, strive to promote the construction of Buddhist colleges and strengthen the links between domestic colleges and universities. At the same time, it is necessary to implement the reward and punishment system, improve the curriculum system, organize teacher professional training, and carry out teacher qualification certification, professional title review and appointment, and degree awarding in an orderly manner; third, actively adapt to the new needs of social development, according to the promotion of the sinicization of Buddhism in the new era New requirements and new changes in the characteristics of students reform the curriculum; the fourth is to create a new situation of exchanges and mutual learning, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with national education universities, scientific research institutes, experts and scholars, and continue to carry out friendly exchanges of Buddhist education with foreign countries and explore the construction of the sea. The heads of the relevant departments of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee put forward four suggestions for the new stage of Buddhist education: First, to deeply study and understand the important exposition spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the cultivation of religious talents and ideological and political courses, and put the training of Buddhist talents in a prominent position. To better play the role of the main channel of Buddhist academies; second, adhere to the direction of Sinicization of Buddhism, strengthen the study of Buddhist classics, and gradually build a Buddhist ideology system with Chinese characteristics; third, earnestly study the party’s religious theories and policies, and continuously strengthen self-construction; It is to give full play to the enthusiasm and initiative of the special committees to promote the implementation of key tasks.
